    Does myPOS Glass work with my smartphone?

    myPOS Glass works with a wide range of Android smartphones, the minimal version of which is 8.1. To find out some of the smartphones compatible with the app, check below (this is not the full list as newer devices get added along the way).

    I am trying to accept a payment but my phone does not seem to detect the card. What is the reason for this?

    It is possible that the card you’re accepting is not contactless. You should double-check this before proceeding to accept a payment. Simply find the contactless sign on the card and, if it’s visible, you’ll be able to accept the card with your myPOS Glass app. Also ensure that the card you’re accepting is a Visa or Mastercard card.

    Where should the customer place his card when I accept a payment with myPOS Glass?

    Your smartphone has a special sensor on the back that enables you to accept payments with contactless cards. To accept a payment simply hover or tap the card on the back of your smartphone, above this sensor, and you’re all set! While setting up the myPOS Glass app, you will have the chance to find the exact location of your phone's NFC sensor by tapping More -> Additional settings -> Find NFC reader.

    What kind of cards are accepted with myPOS Glass?

    You are able to accept all contactless EMV-based debit, credit and prepaid cards by Visa and Mastercard. What’s more is that you’ll also be able to accept payments with mobile wallets and NFC wearables.

    When I accept card payments, when do my funds get deposited?

    One of the most attractive and competitive offerings myPOS provides is instant settlement of funds. This means that as a myPOS merchant, your funds will be available seconds after the transaction.

    What is a myPOS account?

    A myPOS account is a business IBAN account, which is offered to myPOS merchants in the EEA. It is one of the free value-added offerings that merchants can enjoy in addition to the free settlement of funds offered by myPOS. As a myPOS merchant, you also get a free standard business card with which you can proceed to utilise your funds, although you can also take advantage of our prestigious and luxurious Platinum range of Silver, Gold and Metal business cards (https://www.mypos.eu/en/business-card). Available in multiple currencies, your myPOS account can help your business grow.

    What are the costs of accepting payments with myPOS Glass?

    With our affordable pricing plans, it means you only pay a low transaction rate for every transaction and a monthly subscription fee. However, your first monthly subscription fee is absolutely FREE to enable you to take full advantage of our myPOS Glass service!

    How can I send a receipt to the customer after a payment?

    You can send an electronic receipt to the customer by either emailing them or sending them their receipt via SMS. Choose the most convenient option for your customer and be accountable for each sale you make.

    Is there a limit to the amount of payments I can accept?

    We understand that as a small business owner, the amounts you receive in payments from your customers will vary depending on the product or service you offer. That’s why we’ve made it easy to accept a wide range of amounts! Unlike other solutions on the market, myPOS Glass does not limit you in accepting payments - if the amount of the transaction is above the limit of the contactless payment, the customer will simply need to enter their PIN in order for myPOS Glass to accept and process the payment.

    Will the Visa Sensory and Mastercard sonic branding be available through the myPOS Glass app?

    Yes! An increasingly popular method of accepting payments, sensory and sonic branding with Visa and Mastercard, respectively, will be available on your myPOS Glass app. Creating a memorable payment experience for your customers, you can also take advantage of some of the value-added perks of sonic branding for your business.

    Can I initiate a refund or void a transaction?

    Apart from accepting payments in the normal course of running your business, you will also be able to initiate refunds or void certain transactions. Just like a standard POS device, you can permit/forbid a refund or void, and even password-protect this functionality.

    How does the myPOS Glass activation process work?

    There are four ways in which you can activate myPOS Glass.

    1. Activation through your myPOS account (mypos.com): If you already have a myPOS account, go to the “myPOS Devices” menu.
      • This drop-down menu will ask you to choose either a myPOS device or myPOS Glass to activate. Select myPOS Glass.
      • Enter your activation code in the empty field.
      • Choose account, select the settings of the app and agree to our T&Cs.
      • Authorise operation via one-time password (OTP) and once done, you’re ready to accept payments!
    2. Activation through the myPOS app: The process of activating myPOS Glass through the myPOS app is the same as the one described above.
    3. Activation through https://www.mypos.eu/en/activate: This process is applicable to individuals who wish to activate myPOS Glass but who are not owners of the account (e.g. employees accepting payments on behalf of a company).
      • Login with your OTP.
      • Do a “wallet switch” if you are the holder of more than one wallet.
      • Enter your activation code.
      • Choose account, select the settings of the app and agree to our T&Cs.
      • After entering a second OTP, you’re ready to join the myPOS family with myPOS Glass!
    4. Activation through the myPOS Glass app: In this scenario, you have already downloaded the application, gone through the registration process, have identified yourself, entered a passcode/fingerprint and are ready to start activating myPOS Glass. Since you are the owner of the account, you will not receive a code for activation.
      • Choose account, select the settings of the app and accept our T&Cs.
      • You will see the “Success!” screen and you are now able to accept payments through your Android smartphone!
