This section provides general information on the myPOS Account, myPOS Business VISA card, myPOS Devices, myPOS Online Services and Security & Privacy.

    myPOS Account

The myPOS account is an e-money account that enables merchants to accept payments through all electronic channels: POS, online and mobile. The payments are instantly available in the account and because of the multicurrency feature, the merchant is able to accept and make payments in 10 different currencies. The myPOS account has a primary currency and a separate sub-account is opened for each currency. Each sub-account is issued an individual IBAN.

Depending on the country of registration of the business and the account currency, the myPOS account can have a UK or Bulgarian IBAN:

    • The UK IBAN consists of: the country code (GB) - the check sum (2 digits) - the bank code (MPOS) - Sort code (009963) - the myPOS account number (8 digits)
      Example: GB 12 MPOS 009963 12345678
    • The Bulgarian IBAN consists of: the country code (BG) - the check sum (2 digits) - the bank code (INTF) - the myPOS account number (14 digits)
      Example: BG 12 INTF 12345678901112

An additional feature of the myPOS account is its ability to work with multiple users. The merchant, as the account holder, is able to grant access to as many other users as needed to run the business. The account holder is in full control over the access of those additional users and it can be restricted and limited only to certain features.

The myPOS account further enables merchants to transfer funds between accounts, in the same currency or in different currencies, as well as to make payments to other myPOS users or to any bank in the world.

    myPOS Business VISA card

The myPOS Business Card is a card linked to the myPOS merchant’s account. With the myPOS Business Card, the merchant can access the funds in the account, withdraw cash or make payments anywhere card payments are accepted.

Multiple myPOS Business Cards can be linked to the account, thus allowing the merchant to hold a separate card for each currency and/or issue a card to each user. Through the use of individual card settings, limitations, notifications and reporting tools, the merchant is always in control of the spending.

    GateKeeper

Some operations in the myPOS account require an authentication code that myPOS provides in a text message or voice call to the mobile number linked to the account. This is an authentication method required to verify the legitimacy of the attempted operation in the account. GateKeeper is, simply said, the alternative to this method.

When the GateKeeper authentication method is enabled and the app is set up, the merchant receives a one-time 6-digit code. This code, together with the myPOS username and password, is used to log in the myPOS account. The GateKeeper app will generate an authentication code for every myPOS operation that requires one. This authorization code is valid only for one minute.

The app can be used for multiple accounts and is available for devices with iOS and Android operation systems. GateKeeper does not require an Internet connection or mobile service.

GateKeeper can be activated from the myPOS account. Go to the Profile tab, then select Authentication and follow the instructions. To switch back to SMS authentication, please contact myPOS’ Customer Support.

Additional information on GateKeeper can be found here.
